Young Halla's Dream

I used to have a reoccurring dream when I was younger that I was being chased around in circles inside one floor of a skyscraper. The scene I'm depicting comes from that dream I had as a child.
I'm being chased in circles by what I remember to be a dinosaur? of sorts (similar to a Velociraptor), in a high rise on an upper floor. I didn't want to be chased in circles any longer so I open a wide-framed window and walk out onto the ledge, that was no more than 6 inches wide, and with my back against the wall of windows, I scoot myself to the corner of the building. Wind is blowing my hair around and I anxiously watch the open window as the dinosaur passes my hiding spot.

As far as the actual progress of the dream project... next week I wanna see your first draft... a conversation starter. Bring your figures, layers, backgrounds into the project frame. We will discuss next week what is the best way to proceed.

Reflection Tutorial

This dream I had takes place actually in a supermarket. I am in one aisle and one of my coworkers are in another. My coworker and I get along perfectly fine.  She turns down my aisle and see's me. We greet one another with a simple hug. She's in the store with her family. I asked her if she had everything she needed, She replied yes. Her husband was in the store as well and wanted to know who she was talking to. When he saw it was me and became very upset and started yelling and screaming at her. I tried to get him to calm down but he wouldn't. Shortly thereafter, he and I began to argue. After a few harsh words, he purchased there items, and left the store. I stayed and watched as they left.

Dream (Anna Kaisto)

I once had this dream where I was in the rain forest and it was full of different kinds of monkeys. I don't know why but I just started to take care of all the monkeys like giving them food and holding them and giving them baths. I knew that is was important to help those monkeys. I remember that the color like green and orange was a pretty strong element in that dream and all the monkeys were different sizes and colors. 

One dream that I can remember is looking into the mirror after feeling great pain in my mouth. When I go check my mouth, I see that my teeth are tightening together and it hurt really bad. So, I try to touch it and see if I can slow down the pain only to find that my teeth falling out into my hand and in my sink. I completely freak out and  continue checking to see why my teeth are falling out. I see no blood. It’s just continuous pain.

Dream

What I dreamed about was myself going through a tunnel of darkness, to find peace (the light). Like a hero saving the people that need saving, and help bring the world peace. What I seen was like a path on the ground that I was able to see, but barely, and as a (first person angle) I seen myself walk through this dark tunnel with the light at the end. Although this tunnel was dark there were puddles on the ground, but I wasn't sure if it was water, or another type of liquid that was just on the ground (Probably a puddle of blood). But in the dream it looked like I just kept walking straight towards the light like If I looked like I was struggling until I reached the light.

Leon Valencia: I've been having a very difficult time remembering my dreams. It has to do with not experiencing the correct type and level of REM sleep which ultimately will result to emotional and physical health issues. BUT luckily I remembered this weird dream last night.
DREAM: MARCH 17, 2020: I am a worker at this laboratory/academy, where students study science and scientists experiment with science. Just so happens that in a laboratory this creature was created it was Black, Tar like and very scary looking, To be honest it looked exactly like one of Spider Mans villain's VENOM. Venom is symbiotic, basically two organisms living in close physical association. Now VENOM escaped the confined prison of the laboratory and found his way into the upper level of the academy/laboratory. This academy was very beige/yellowish very dead. It looked eerie. SO Venom got to the upper level and while parts of my dream was in POV through Venom I saw that he went into a class room filled with students smashed the door open and started grabbing each kid with his tentacle like arm and throwing them everywhere. The scientists from the lab below the academy quickly reacted and released two other versions of Venom which made everyone panic even more. I was able to guide everyone to safety but there was this one teenage girl, who was pregnant and needed to use the bathroom badly. What no one knew was that the 2 new Venoms released were now in the academy searching for the original to destroy it. The teenage girl managed to go to the bathroom except the bathroom wasn't were she went I looked for her high and low in panic and found her standing and peeing. Her pee was coming out differently that's when I found hour she was transgendered. She turned around and was crying in fear that's when I grabbed her hand and told her to pee while we run cause at this point we needed to get the hell outta there. All three venoms just so happened to have cross paths and unfortunately the original (EVIL VENOM) absorbed the other ones. Transforming it into something unstoppable. That's when I woke up from my dream.

Dream

The only dreams I seem to remember over time are the ones I get shot in... I had another one last week.
In last weeks dream, I was dealing with a juvenile I've know since kindergarten. He is now 19 y/o, but in my dream he was 13 and had a shotgun. I woke up as the shot went off. Throughout the dream I had the boy in handcuffs, in custody, but he kept getting away from me both at police headquarters and in the streets.
He was wearing all black, including black finger-less gloves. his eyes were cold and he kept smiling at me and laughing to him self, making comments I couldn't hear.
At the end we were in the Juvenile office. He was blocking the doorway facing me, with the gun in my face, laughing. When the shot when off I woke up. i have no idea what happened next!

Today, under the transitory circumstances it is ok, but starting next week I expect you guys to be online during the class time. I will have to take attendance, and remember, chances are will function like this till the end of the semester... We got to take this seriously.
Next week I'm planning to use blackboard/zoom to do a short video talk live. I expect you all to be there. I expect dream posts to be posted by the weekend (I need some time to read them and comment). Please read the text I posted and prepare to do Photoshop work at home. If you don't have the software... time to get it. Older versions will be fine for our purposes.

During the class period you will 1) post  your dream animation on the blog (you can post a youtube link or upload it directly to blog), 2)comment on other peoples videos 3) I’ll be writing my comments in the order your post appear on the blog 4) feel free to respond, chat, converse! As we have expected for a while the class will have to be done online for a while.

I think we can do this without much damage to our projected learning goals, mostly because most of the software learning is done…

So here is my experimental idea… during the Tuesday class period I’ll be online, signed into our class blog. You can email me at any point (mramocki@njcu.edu), post or comment. I would like you guys to write a blog post describing a real dream that you want to use for you second project. This has to be a real dream… very important. Don’t embellish, remove or add anything. Make the narrative as long as it needs to be, include all visual memories, detail etc.

We will exchange ideas regarding which scene of your dream should be used. Usually I would suggest a scene that is “Photoshop worthy”, where something spectacular takes place. But spectacular is in the eye of the beholder…

So during the class time you will write and post your dream narrative, connect with me and narrow down what will become your dream scene. After that is established, begin collecting online images needed for your collage. Remember to stick to large images. Your Dream project will be 10X8 inches, 300 dpi, RGB. Start by making that empty file and bringing everything in.

I also would love if you make constructive comments and suggestions on other students posts. Lets try to have a conversation. I will communicate class related information via blog, so keep checking it! Starting March 24^th we will also start using Blackboard videoconferencing.
