The authorities have charged three teenagers with murder on Monday after the gruesome discovery of a “house of horrors” in a heavily wooded area in Northern New Jersey. The teens, whose identities remain unknown, are believed to range in age from 14 to 19.

Jill Henson, 21, and her boyfriend, Mike Greene, 23, were enjoying a weekend of camping in their native New Jersey woods when their relaxing vacation suddenly spiraled into something out of a horror film.

“We were just about to settle down for the night when we heard what sounded like a girl’s cries for help,” Henson said, holding back tears. “But when Mike went to check it out, he never came back.”

Those cries for help are now thought to have been the teens attempt to lure one or both of the campers to them. What exactly happened to Mike when he first encountered the teens remains a mystery, but the aftermath was gruesome.

Greene’s remains were found about a mile from the camp site. His body had been torn to pieces and much of it had already been consumed by the teenagers by the time the police arrived. If that’s not disturbing enough, it was just the beginning of the findings at what’s now being called the “house of horrors.”

Police, following blood stains from the campsite left on grass and leaves, came upon a shack deep in the woods. The wooden structure, no more than ten-by-ten feet, was covered with leaves on top, presumably to shield it from aerial view. It’s unknown why, or how long, the teenagers had been living in the shack, but authorities believe it to be at least a couple years.

Officials say the teens may have been abandoned by their families or could possibly be run-aways, but one thing is certain, they had been practicing cannibalism for quite a while.

Upon entering the shack, police were shocked by what they saw. They found lamp shades, window curtains and clothing made entirely out of human skin. Male and female genitals were fashioned into various accessories like earrings and belt-buckles. There was a dresser full of jewelry made from body parts, such as a necklace made from human ears. There were also fresh body parts that authorities would later identify as the remains of Greene.

Police surprisingly discovered all three teenagers, two male and one female, sleeping in the back portion of the cabin, dazed and possibly on drugs. One admitted to the crimes immediately and, upon hearing this, one of the male teens attempted to flee, but was caught just outside the cabin.

A local hunter released a terrifying snapshot taken by his motion-sensor game camera, set up to spot deer. In the photo, one of the teens can be clearly seen consuming what is thought to be the body of Mike Greene.

The teenagers are being charged with the murder of Greene. Authorities say they are working on finding more information on the additional remains found at the cabin and will then move forward with possible additional charges.
